Terms of Enrollment

Enrollment for new families at LOL is on a trial basis for both parties.

Within 90 days of starting the program, parent/guardian may remove student from the program or drop classes from the student’s schedule for any reason, without further financial obligation other than (1) the full tuition through the end of the month in which the student officially notifies LOL of intent to drop any classes or leave the program (LOL must be notified in writing or via email) (2) material fees for the entire year and (3) any unpaid tuition and/or class fees. After 90 days of enrollment, new families are obligated to pay the full tuition for the remainder of the program year.

Leaves of Learning reserves the right to terminate any student who is in breach of any of the terms of the Tuition Contract including, but not limited to, the failure to make payments in a timely fashion.

Leaves of Learning has contractual financial commitments it must meet in a timely manner throughout the calendar year. In order to maintain the high quality of instruction and activities, it is essential that annual income from tuition be assured. Thus, the obligation to pay LOL for the full number of hours a student is originally approved for as of June 1 for the full 34 weeks of the program year becomes binding on June 1st.

In rare cases, exceptions to this policy may be made on an individual basis upon evaluation of individual petitions made in writing to the Board of Directors. If a student withdraws before July 1, no tuition is incurred. The registration and material fees will not be refunded in any case.

LOL reserves the right to ask a student to leave the program if it is felt his/her needs are not being met, or if the student’s behavior is unmanageable or detracts from the experience of others in the program.

Facilitators of the program and the LOL Board of Directors will work together to make these decisions. Parent/Guardian will be contacted about specific concerns prior to any action.

Leaves of Learning does not believe in labeling or “tracking” students. We believe every child is a gift and has the right to fair and equal treatment. However, due to our size and limited resources, there are children who have needs that cannot be accommodated by our program. While we can occasionally accommodate students with minor special needs who are high functioning, we are not a program for special needs students. We recommend you talk with a specialist to find a place where your child can receive the attention he or she needs.

Leaves of Learning admits students of any sex, race, color, and national, or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to students in the program. We do not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, or national ethnic origin in the administration of policies, or any program-administered events, activities, or classes.
